The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation (YCF) is looking for a Safeguarding Manager to join its Safe & Fair Cricket department on a 14-month fixed-term contract.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Safe and Fair Cricket, you will lead the implementation of safeguarding policies and practice across all cricket activities delivered or supported by the YCF, protecting the welfare of children and adults at risk.
You will manage and investigate safeguarding concerns, embed learning from incidents and take a proactive approach through training, education and best practice from across sport.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the single point of contact for all safeguarding concerns raised to the YCF
- Lead safeguarding investigations and case management in line with legislation and policy
- Liaise with external agencies, including LADOs, Police, social services and the Cricket Regulator
- Identify trends and training needs and deliver education programmes
- Help shape and strengthen safeguarding across the Yorkshire cricket network
About You
- Knowledge of safeguarding legislation and guidance, including the ECB Safe Hands Policy
- A Level 3 safeguarding qualification, such as Designated Safeguarding Lead training
- Experience of safeguarding professional athletes, positions of trust and adults at risk
- Experience of safeguarding in an event environment
