Whitgift School is looking for an experienced Games Coach – Cricket to join its ambitious and successful Sports Department.
The Role
Working closely with the Director of Cricket and Cricket Development Officer, you will deliver high-quality coaching to pupils from Year 6 to Year 13, from beginners through to county and performance pathways. You will coach and manage teams, support fixtures and tours, contribute to the Whitgift Cricket Academy and also support winter sports and the wider sporting life of the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality cricket coaching to pupils from Year 6 to Year 13
- Coach and manage cricket teams and support fixtures and tours
- Contribute to the Whitgift Cricket Academy
- Coach winter sports and support Games lessons, fixtures and events
- Create an environment where pupils develop skills, confidence and enjoyment of the game
About You
- A proven track record of cricket coaching in a school, club, county pathway or professional setting
- An ECB Core Coach qualification or equivalent
- An excellent communicator committed to developing young people
- High standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare
- Able to work some weekends
