About the role
As Performance Services Manager, you will lead the delivery, coordination, and ongoing development of an integrated sports science and medicine provision. Working closely with the Head of Student Performance Sport, you will provide strategic direction and operational leadership to a team of specialist practitioners, ensuring that services are aligned, evidence-informed, and focused on delivering meaningful impact for athletes.
You will operate within a collaborative, interdisciplinary performance support team, bringing together expertise across physiotherapy, strength and conditioning, and other specialist services. By fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, you will ensure that athletes benefit from a seamless, holistic support system that enhances both performance and wellbeing.
The role extends across a diverse and exciting portfolio, including student performance sport programmes, Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS) athletes, and partnerships with national governing bodies. You will play a key role in strengthening these relationships, enhancing service provision, and identifying opportunities to innovate and expand support in line with the evolving demands of high-performance sport.
About you
We’re looking for a purpose driven, collaborative and focused leader who is passionate about enhancing athlete performance through high-quality, evidence-informed support services.
You will bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership capability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
You will have proven experience leading or coordinating sports science and/or medicine services within performance sport, with a strong understanding of student and/or elite sport environments, including interdisciplinary athlete support.
Experience working collaboratively with coaches and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated support is also required.
