The Role

  • To provide high quality assessment, treatment and rehabilitation skills to aid players perform at their best
  • Support Medical Team with day-to-day responsibilities
  • To maximize player availability for the Head coach in preparing players daily for training

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide daily medical diagnosis, treatment and rehab
  • Matchday cover as required (Sundays mostly)
  • To create successful and professional relationships with staff whilst maintaining professional distance from playing staff at all times
  • Comfortable working with the full spectrum of injuries you would expect in women’s high-performance environment
  • Play an active role in the delivery of recovery sessions following games
  • Keep accurate medical records using a computerised notes system
  • Attended daily medical meetings and contribute effectively with the wider team
  • Promote anti-doping policies in line with WADA

What you will bring

Specific Experience:

  • A BSc in Sports Therapy or Sport Rehabilitation
  • Or a BSc or MSc degree level qualification in Physiotherapy
  • BASRaT or MSST affiliation/member
  • Or CSP and HCPC Registered
  • An extensive and up to date CPD portfolio.
  • Current ITMIFF or ATMMiF qualification desirable

  • experience of providing elite therapy services based on the principals of human performance and how they relate to clinical sports medicine
  • Highly motivated and engaged in their role, with the ability to generate ideas independently and then discuss and implement within a group dynamic.
  • Strong rehabilitation skills to take athletes from the plinth to the pitch
