Overview

We are seeking a proactive and commercially astute procurement professional to lead high-value strategic sourcing initiatives across the Club and stadium. This role will partner with a wide range of teams — from football operations and stadium management to marketing, finance, technology, and club administration — ensuring we source goods and services effectively, efficiently, and sustainably.

As the Club’s sole procurement specialist, you will be the go-to person for all procurement activity. This role will suit a motivated professional who thrives on autonomy and wants to make a visible impact in an exciting, fast-paced industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement Strategy: Develop and regularly update a strategic procurement plan that identifies, prioritises, and delivers high-value sourcing initiatives.
  • Sourcing & Supplier Management: Lead supplier identification, evaluation, and relationship management. Run RFP and RFQ processes, including negotiations, to secure value for the Club in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Policy & Procedures: In partnership with Finance and the Executive team, design and implement a robust Procurement Policy.
  • Savings & Performance Tracking: Maintain a live database of procurement initiatives, demonstrating financial savings, quality improvements, or operational efficiencies for review with Finance and senior management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with all departments to understand business needs, support supplier-facing projects, and deliver strategic procurement input.
  • Sustainability & Innovation: Drive environmentally sustainable sourcing initiatives and innovative supplier solutions to strengthen the Club’s position as the Premier League’s greenest club.

Day One Priorities

  • From the outset, you will be expected to focus on identifying opportunities and delivering savings across the Club’s most significant cost categories:
  • Travel costs – including team travel, staff travel, and logistics.
  • Energy and utilities – electricity, gas, water, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Repairs and maintenance – facilities upkeep across the stadium and training ground.
  • Cleaning and security – covering both matchday and non-matchday operations.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in procurement management with a proven track record of delivering measurable savings.
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience in supplier contracts and commercial agreements.
  • Advanced analytical skills, ideally with experience in Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Solid knowledge of procurement best practices and RFx processes.
  • Highly self-motivated, independent, and results-driven.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credibility across diverse teams and with external suppliers.
