The Junior Premier League (JPL), one of the world’s biggest youth sport organisations, is looking for a hands-on Finance Manager.
The Role
You will take ownership of the JPL’s day-to-day finance operation and turn it into a source of insight for leadership. The initial focus is JPL England – operations, venues, member clubs and central office.

- Complete weekly and month-end reconciliations and keep the books audit-ready
- Act as the main internal contact for the external accountants
- Produce monthly management accounts, a rolling 13-week cash-flow forecast and the annual budget
- Report performance by region, venue, age group and competition
- Lead on Xero and introduce practical automation and AI tools
About You
- Hands-on experience running day-to-day finance in a small or growing business
- Experience handling high volumes of smaller recurring payments with tight credit control
- Expert Xero user, including set-up, reporting and integrations
- Practical experience of automation tools (such as Zapier, Make or Dext) and of using AI in finance
- A solid grasp of UK financial controls, VAT, payroll and management accounting
- A professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) is welcome but not essential
