The FA are excited to be searching for a pool of Emergency First Aid in Football (EFAiF) Tutors to join us on a casual basis.

The EFAiF Tutors will effectively deliver England Football Learning courses, specifically EFAiF.

As a Tutor, you will support us in achieving our aims of increasing the people from historically underrepresented groups who enjoy our game. You will actively promote diverse and inclusive environments and ensure our game is ‘For All'.

You will help learning happen by creating effective learning environments through appropriate learning activities. Connecting learners with sound content knowledge that they can effectively transfer and translate to their context.

You will provide individualised support for learners, as designed by the course, to maximise learner potential and drive progression.

The role of a Tutor can make an inspiring contribution to our game and our society, and as such, the team of Tutors will be provided with robust support and development opportunities.

During this recruitment phase, we are specifically looking for EFAiF tutors home home-based only in the following areas:

  • London
  • Lincolnshire
  • Norfolk
  • Suffolk
  • Peterborough
  • Cambridge
  • Northampton
  • Oxford

You will be able to state on your application which region above you wish to cover if successful.

You will be asked to enter salary details, you can just enter the figure '1' here as this is a casual position.

What You'll Do?

  • Deliver FA Education in the manner intended and in line with the FA Principles of Practice.
  • Demonstrate high expectations of yourself and learners, ensuring a positive learning experience for all.
  • Maintain correct and timely records of learner attendance and achievement.
  • Provide individualised support for learners, as designed by the course, to maximise learner potential and drive progression.
  • Commit to continual professional development, ensure personal qualification pertinent to the course delivery and supporting quality processes.
  • Executes additional tasks as required to meet the FA's changing priorities.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and well-being can be maintained.
  • As part of the FA's commitment to ensuring a safe environment for everyone in football, every employee will be required to complete a DBS check. The level of the check required will be based on the activity of the specific job role and in line with legislation and government guidance.

What You'll Need?

Essential for the role:

  • An in-date L3 EMFAIF qualification or equivalent* / or higher FA medical qualification
  • Experience in delivering to adults in an education setting, specifically regarding first aid awareness and management.
  • Competent use of learning technology
  • Confident and competent approach to teaching and assessment
  • Access to first aid training equipment to include a minimum of 3 manikins, 3 training AEDs and 3 training adrenaline pens
  • Access to own transport
  • No conflicts of interest

Beneficial to have:

  • Current or previous experience working in a sports setting
  • Current or previous experience in delivering sports first aid/trauma courses
  • Teaching qualification
  • Experience in managing learners with learning needs
  • Registration as one of the following:
    • a First Aid at Work Instructor
    • a contracted FA medical tutor (FA L2/3/4 or 5)
    • an Emergency Medical Technician
    • a paramedic with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
    • a Health Care Professional or Allied Health Professional
    • a nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
    • a doctor with the General Medical Council (GMC)
