Position Summary:
Manage overall marketing, including Brand marketing, Sports marketing, Trade marketing, and HG, SG products and DTC including ODS and e-comm operations.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
- Leads, builds, develops, and motivates a strong team of individuals to perform at the highest level; facilitates and fosters a continuous learning and collaboration environment within the team.
- Establish annual strategic marketing plan that is aligned with company objectives.
- Develop strategies and action plans that are in-line with brand’s core values.
- Prepare, manage, and control marketing working budgets.
- Work with country GM and sales director in establishing commercial objectives.
- Create and develop effective communication channels with target consumers.
- Oversee the execution of communication initiatives and launches.
- Ensure the concepts, events, activities, and other support materials are in-line with the global brand strategies.
- Implement local, global, and regional initiatives effectively.
- Develop and direct implementation of consumer Go-to Market plan.
- Lead and manage long-term sports marketing asset plans including tour pros, HPS, and elite amateurs.
- Manage both Hard goods and Soft Goods in developing optimal product portfolio with right seasonal timing to achieve the best sales performance for revenue and EBITDA optimization.
- Work with apparel licensing partner to enhance the TaylorMade brand equity through aligned marketing activities.
- Manage DTC business including ODS retail doors, TaylorMade Performance Centers, and E-comm site for the best consumer brand experiences at branded channels.
- Provide coaching and feedback to subordinates to develop them for optimal performance and skill development.
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- Understanding of Korean marketplace (accounts, channels, and doors)
- Proven ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Native in Korean, Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and ability to interact with all levels.
- Ability to accurately assess talent and effectively motivate and influence others to build skills, efficiently accomplish tasks, and develop leading edge processes.
- Excellent strategic thinking and implementation skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Understanding of market dynamics and status of sports industry.
Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or equivalent.
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience in related roles.
- Proven track record in planning and communications.
Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
- Normal office conditions with extensive computer and phone usage.
- Ability to work extended hours as necessary.
- Able to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption.
- Light physical effort equals frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
- Frequent travel may be required.
