About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead fundraising for a high-profile sporting Foundation. You’ll play a key role in building relationships, engaging stakeholders, and driving revenue to support elite programs and community initiatives. This role suits a confident communicator who enjoys connecting with people, influencing outcomes, and turning conversations into long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Growth
- Develop and execute the Foundation’s fundraising strategy
- Build and convert a pipeline of new donors and supporters
- Identify and secure new revenue opportunities
- Achieve agreed fundraising targets
Donor Engagement
- Build and maintain strong donor relationships
- Engage stakeholders confidently via phone, meetings and events
- Deliver high-quality donor stewardship to drive retention
- Communicate the impact of contributions effectively
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams and senior leadership
- Partner with the Foundation Committee to drive growth
- Represent the Foundation at events and key engagements
Reporting & Performance
- Monitor performance against fundraising targets
- Prepare regular reports for leadership and Board
- Manage budgets and support forecasting
Skills & Experience
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence outcomes
- Strong phone presence with confidence engaging and converting stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising, sales, or business development
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to proactively generate leads and drive revenue outcomes
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working towards targets and delivering results
- Ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders professionally
- Experience in sport, not-for-profit or membership-based organisations (desirable)
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (desirable)
