Sport England is a non-departmental public body under the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.
Do you have a passion for driving participation in sport and physical activity at grassroots and national level? Sport England is appointing one Trustee, with a deep knowledge and experience in financial management, to the Board of its subsidiary, the Sports Council Trust Company (SCTC).
As a member of the SCTC Board you will help to oversee the objectives of the charity, including the oversight of the National Sports Centres which help us achieve our primary goal of helping members of the public play more sport and enjoy the many benefits of regular physical activity.
We particularly encourage individuals from all our diverse communities, who meet the criteria, to consider applying for the role, to ensure the Board represents the communities it serves. The role is a great opportunity for individuals considering Executive or Board level experience.
The Committee usually meets in-person (at a National Sport Centre or a Sport England Office) four times a year. Meetings usually take half a day, with additional time will be required for preparatory work. Occasional meetings are arranged, dependent on business need, and remote or hybrid meeting facilities will be made available to support inclusion and facilitate urgent decision making.
The role is voluntary, but Trustees may claim reasonable expenses in line with Sport England’s Travel and Subsistence Policy. For more information and to apply, please visit our careers page - https://jobs.sportengland.org/...
