South London Girls Football Academy is looking for an Assistant Coach to support its Academy Director with the Under-8s group in Southwark for the 2026/27 season.
The Role
This role is built for a developing coach who has recently passed their UEFA C, or completed the FA Introduction to Coaching Football and is about to start their UEFA C. You will learn on the grass every week, get regular feedback and take on more responsibility as your confidence grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the lead coach to deliver fun, engaging, high-quality sessions for Under-8s
- Help set up, run and pack down session activities
- Give individual encouragement and support to players
- Lead parts of sessions, such as warm-ups and small-sided games, as you develop
- Help create a safe, positive and inclusive environment
- Take part in session planning and reflection
About You
- A UEFA C Licence, or the FA Introduction to Coaching Football with plans to start your UEFA C soon
- Some grassroots coaching experience
- An enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to complete one before starting)
- FA Safeguarding Children and FA Emergency First Aid
