Scottish Rugby is looking for a Senior Performance Physiotherapist to support players across its elite women’s rugby pathway.
The Role
Based at Oriam, you will oversee the daily preparation, treatment and long-term injury rehabilitation of centrally contracted Scottish players, working closely with the Scotland Women’s National Team Lead Physiotherapist.
You will also act as Lead Physiotherapist for Edinburgh Rugby during the Celtic Challenge and support the senior national team during international campaigns – combining hands-on clinical delivery with leadership across club and international environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily physiotherapy for centrally contracted players based at Oriam
- Deliver player assessment, treatment and individual rehabilitation programmes, including long-term injury management
- Work with the Scotland Women’s National Team Lead Physiotherapist to coordinate player care
- Act as Lead Physiotherapist for Edinburgh Rugby in the Celtic Challenge
- Support the senior national team during international campaigns
About You
- A BSc and MSc in Physiotherapy and current HCPC registration
- Significant experience delivering physiotherapy in elite sport, ideally rugby or another contact sport
- Strong experience treating sports injuries and managing complex, long-term rehabilitation
- Experience working with medical, coaching and performance colleagues
- Experience of clinical leadership in training and competition environments
