Are you an experienced Physiotherapist who can drive excellence whilst delivering specialist rehabilitation advice & support? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can make decisive and evidence based calls? If so, we want to hear from you!

What you will be doing:

  • Lead rehabilitation standards across Scottish Rugby, ensuring clinical excellence and consistency in return-to-play approaches.
  • Provide specialist rehabilitation expertise to support injured players at academy, regional, and national squad levels.
  • Drive vertical integration of RTP protocols so that rehabilitation practices are aligned from pathway programmes through to senior Men’s and Women’s squads.
  • Act as a consultancy lead for complex rehabilitation cases, advising coaches, medical teams, and performance colleagues.
  • Support player return-to-play outcomes by standardising best-practice rehabilitation processes across the whole performance system.

What we’re looking for:

  • Advanced rehabilitation expertise with strong clinical capability in managing complex return-to-play cases in elite sport.
  • In-depth knowledge of RTP standards and protocols, with the ability to apply and align best practice across multiple performance levels.
  • Experience working in high-performance sporting environments, ideally supporting academy, regional, and national-level athletes.
  • Ability to standardise and integrate rehabilitation approaches across pathways, ensuring consistency from development programmes to senior squads.
  • Strong consultancy and stakeholder collaboration skills, enabling effective advice and partnership with coaches, medical teams, and performance colleagues
