The Vacancy

Are you passionate about growing the game and developing people within it? If you want to support people to reach their full potential, we want to hear from you!

You'll play a pivotal role in building the next generation of players and coaches across the Borders and East Lothian regions. In this role you'll lead a comprehensive regional programme that brings the Blueprint to life, driving quality, consistency, and opportunity across clubs, schools and pathways.

What you will be doing:

  • Managing a contractor workforce to deliver all player and coach development activities in your region
  • Overseeing the delivery and workforce plan to implement and quality assure coaching and physical development qualifications, workshops and mentoring programmes
  • Leading a regional coach development plan, including depth charts and needs analysis
  • Organising delivery of male and female U15-U18 player development programmes, regional representation and competitions in your region

What we’re looking for:

  • Hands on experience of driving rugby programmes and delivering results that make a real impact on players and coaches
  • A track record of mentoring and delivering education programmes, including courses, workshops and e-learning content
  • A strong communicator - someone who is clear, builds strong relationships and helps others to thrive
