We’re seeking a Finance Business Partner to deliver high-impact financial insight and support across the business.

This is a pivotal role for a commercially astute finance professional who can translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, providing challenge and guidance to ensure financial rigour and support long-term growth. With a strong focus on performance, forecasting, and strategic planning, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the financial direction of the business.

What you will be doing:

  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with business areas to develop financial strategies that support transformational change and long-term growth across Scottish Rugby.
  • Financial Oversight: With your business areas, lead on budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting, ensuring spend aligns with financial plans and delivering clear insights to support decision-making.
  • Value Creation: Support procurement and capital projects by reviewing supplier deals, assessing value for money, and ensuring financial alignment across the organisation.
  • Insight & Analysis: Provide timely, accurate financial analysis and bring market insights to inform business planning and identify opportunities for improvement.

What we’re looking for:

  • Business and Strategic Acumen
    Ability to understand the broader business context, challenge assumptions, and contribute to strategic decision-making through financial insight.
  • Analytical and Reporting Expertise
    Strong skills in interpreting financial data, producing accurate forecasts and performance reports, and identifying trends or risks that impact business outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Influence
    Proven ability to build relationships across departments, communicate complex financial information clearly, and influence decisions through collaboration and credibility.
