The Vacancy
Edinburgh Rugby is seeking a highly motivated, entrepreneurial Commercial Lead. This role is responsible for delivering the club’s commercial, sponsorship, partnership, activation, renewal, and retention strategies, and for maximising the commercial revenues of the club from sponsorship and partnerships, Business Club, and hospitality.
This role also offers a sales incentive bonus scheme linked to commercial performance.
What you will be doing:
- Delivering the club's commercial, sponsorship, activation, renewal and retention strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets
- Identifying, negotiating, and securing partnership and sponsorship deals, supported by strong sales materials and CRM-driven insights
- Overseeing delivery of commercial rights, hospitality experiences, and match-day activations alongside colleagues and external partners
- Leading, mentoring and developing the Commercial team, setting objectives and driving continuous improvement
What we’re looking for:
- A proven track record in sponsorship or media sales, partnership management, or commercial roles within sport, events, or similar industries
- Strong financial acumen with experience achieving (and exceeding) income targets and managing budgets confidently
- Excellent negotiation and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to secure, retain, and grow partner accounts
- Strong working knowledge of sponsorship trends, CRM systems, and developing compelling commercial assets
