The Venue Sales Executive is responsible for driving non-matchday venue hire revenue at StoneX Stadium through proactive and targeted sales activity. The role focuses on developing new business opportunities, converting inbound enquiries into confirmed bookings, and supporting the continued growth of the stadium’s commercial events portfolio.

This role will actively identify and engage organisations looking to use StoneX Stadium and its facilities for a wide range of activities, including conferences, corporate events, meetings, product launches, exhibitions and team away days. Working closely with Events and Hospitality colleagues, the Venue Sales Executive will ensure a seamless transition from sale to delivery and a consistently high-quality client experience.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Proactively identify, target and develop new venue hire leads from corporate, agency and third-party clients.
  • Build relationships with companies seeking venues for conferences, events, meetings, away days and bespoke activities.
  • Actively manage a sales pipeline, from initial contact through to confirmed booking.
  • Identify opportunities to maximise revenue through upselling and cross-selling venue spaces and services.

Enquiry Management & Conversion

  • Respond promptly and professionally to inbound venue hire enquiries.
  • Prepare tailored proposals, quotations and presentations aligned to client requirements.
  • Negotiate commercial terms within agreed parameters to secure bookings.
  • Follow up consistently on leads to drive strong conversion rates.

Collaboration & Event Handover

  • Work closely with Events Producers and operational teams to ensure smooth handover from sale to event delivery.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders to align client expectations with operational capabilities.
  • Support site visits, client meetings and venue show rounds as required.

Reporting & Administration

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activity, pipeline progress and performance using agreed systems.
  • Track and report on key sales metrics, including enquiry volumes, conversion rates and revenue.
  • Contribute to forecasting and planning for non-matchday venue hire activity.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Essential

  • Proven experience in a sales role within events, hospitality, venues or a related commercial environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business leads as well as convert inbound enquiries.
  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Confident building relationships with a wide range of clients and stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, with good attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.

Desirable

  • Experience selling conference, event or corporate venue space.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
  • Understanding of event delivery processes within a venue environment.
