The Saracens Foundation is looking for additional casual coaches to deliver its programmes across North London, Hertfordshire and Essex.
The Role
The Saracens Foundation is a registered charity that uses the power of sport to enhance the lives of children and young people, working with schools, colleges, councils, youth offending teams and local communities.
You will coach inclusive tag, touch and contact rugby and deliver cross-curricular sessions in primary and secondary schools, with some administration as needed. Hours vary according to project needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver inclusive tag, touch or contact rugby sessions to boys and girls in schools, in curriculum time or after school
- Plan, organise, deliver and review all sessions
- Complete monitoring and evaluation of delivered sessions
- Use the Saracens Way to increase participation among under-represented groups
- Meet regularly with the lead project officer
About You
- A UKCC Level 2 Coaching Qualification in Rugby Union
- Experience working with children aged 6–18
- A current driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle
- A current DBS certificate (or willingness to apply)
- Good organisation and time management, and excellent communication skills
- Desirable: attendance at 3 or more RFU CPD workshops, a valid first aid qualification and an understanding of local barriers to participation
