Rugby World Cup Australia (RWCA) is delivering the Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027, one of the world’s most iconic sporting events. RWCA is looking for a Travel Coordinator to join its Tournament Services Department.
The Role
Based in the Sydney CBD and reporting to the Travel Manager, you will help plan and deliver the end-to-end travel programme for the tournament, working with colleagues across RWCA and World Rugby Events & Media to deliver world-class commercial and charter travel for teams, match officials, guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Help develop and implement commercial and charter travel plans for teams, match officials, tournament guests and staff
- Work with key travel suppliers, including airlines and the travel management company
- Collaborate across RWCA so the right travel services reach every stakeholder
- Support the Tournament Management System with the Transport team, TMC and World Rugby
- Help resolve flight delays, changes, cancellations and real-time issues during the tournament
- Identify and mitigate travel risks and work closely with the Arrivals and Departures team
About You
- At least two years’ experience in the travel industry, ideally with sport or major events
- Experience of both commercial and charter travel
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Understanding of project and travel management systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and diplomacy
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
