Job description:
Rugby World Cup Australia is seeking an experienced and driven Partnership Hospitality Manager to join our Sydney-based team. Reporting to the Head of Hospitality & Premium Services, this role acts as the key link between our corporate partners and the official hospitality delivery provider (RWCE). You will be responsible for consulting with partners to understand and capture their hospitality requirements including ticketing, space allocations, and bespoke experiences ensuring these align with contractual entitlements and budgets. While you will not deliver the program directly, you will play a critical role in shaping and enabling its successful execution.
Sitting at the intersection of account management, commercial operations, and event coordination, this is a highly collaborative and process-driven role. You will translate partner needs into clear briefs, work closely with the delivery provider to scope and cost solutions, and coordinate with internal teams such as ticketing, venues, and accreditation to ensure alignment. Success in this role requires strong stakeholder management, commercial acumen, and the ability to manage multiple priorities, ensuring partner expectations are met through clear communication, structured planning, and seamless delivery.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Partner Engagement & Requirement Scoping — Consult with partners to capture and define their hospitality needs, ensuring alignment with contractual rights and objectives.
- Briefing, Coordination & Delivery Alignment — Translate requirements into clear briefs and work with our hospitality partner to scope, cost, and prepare solutions for execution. Assist with the coordination of partner layouts, seating plans and premium catering packages against contractual partner entitlements.
- Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Alignment — Act as the key liaison between partners, hospitality partner, and internal teams (Ticketing, Venues, Marketing, Accreditation, Legal) to ensure seamless coordination.
- Commercial & Allocation Oversight — Manage budgets and entitlements while overseeing ticketing, suite allocations, and access to ensure accuracy and optimal utilisation. Oversee the master inventory of physical spaces, including private suites, and corporate lounges.
- High-Demand Mitigation — Proactively resolve spatial conflicts and overlapping requirements.
- Tournament Handover & Handback — Lead the physical site inspection and inventory handover process of contractual space allocations with RWCE, partners, and venues both before and after the tournament.
- Event Support & Performance Tracking — Support delivery during events, resolve issues as they arise, and produce post-event reporting to capture insights and improve future delivery.

- Experience within global events, major sporting events, premium hospitality, marketing or sponsorship environments (preferred).

- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, timelines, and partner requirements simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with experience building and delivering client presentations with confidence and enthusiasm.
- Knowledge of ticketing, allocations, and event operations, with the ability to optimise inventory and align to partner needs.
- Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving skills, able to navigate complex stakeholder environments and resolve issues quickly.
- Proactive, adaptable and self-motivated, thriving in high-pressure environments and excited by the opportunity to be part of a major global event
