Reporting to the Senior Accreditation Manager, you will be responsible for delivering and managing the accreditation systems that underpin Rugby World Cup 2027, ensuring they are secure, accurate and fully integrated with tournament platforms and Australian Government systems and processes. The role is highly systems‑focused, overseeing configuration, data flows, integrations and reporting to support accreditation, visa enablement and security screening for all accredited groups, including teams, officials, workforce, media and contractors. Working closely with the Senior Accreditation Manager, and future Accreditation Client Management and Accreditation Operations teams, the role also partners with the Tournament Management System team, technology suppliers and Australian Government agencies. You will manage system configuration, support system testing, reporting, risk management and training readiness, providing specialist system expertise to ensure accreditation processes run smoothly and reliably throughout the tournament.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Configure, customise and optimise the accreditation system in partnership with the system supplier to meet operational requirements.
- Manage, test and document accreditation system integrations and data flows across tournament platforms, including the Tournament Management System and relevant external systems, ensuring data integrity and consistent outcomes.
- Design and maintain accreditation forms, workflows, validation rules and templates to support efficient end‑to‑end accreditation services.
- Plan, coordinate and deliver functional, integration and user acceptance testing for the accreditation system and associated interfaces.
- Lead the implementation of accreditation to visa processes, monitoring visa‑related queries, risks and issues and coordinating mitigation strategies with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop reports and dashboards to provide timely, accurate accreditation data and insights to internal and external stakeholders, including leadership.
- Support compliance with privacy, security and information‑handling requirements, provide subject matter expertise on system readiness and risks, and assist the Senior Accreditation Manager and Client Manager with other activities as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience working with complex systems in major events, large programs or regulated operational environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing or supporting accreditation, identity, workforce or event management systems (experience with Wiz or similar platforms is highly desirable).
- Proven experience with system integrations, data flows and APIs across multiple platforms.
- Experience working with or alongside government agencies, particularly in areas such as visas, security screening, privacy or compliance (Australian Government experience preferred).
- Strong capability in data management and reporting, including building clear, accurate reports and dashboards for operational and executive use.
- High level of stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgement and the ability to work independently under pressure in a fixed‑deadline, major event environment.
- A collaborative, reliable team player with a positive attitude and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and event days during tournament operations.
