Royston Town FC is looking for a Lead Physiotherapist / Sport Therapist to become an integral part of its management team.
The Role
This role suits someone passionate about football who is competent and confident leading the club’s physio department, ideally with previous experience in a similar role. You will provide injury management, match and training cover, and player education, and must be able to commit to the club’s training and match schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate assessment, diagnosis and evidence-based management of player injuries
- Design and implement screening and injury prevention strategies with the playing department
- Arrange external investigations and treatment as required
- Provide match-day and training medical cover, home and away, and maintain an emergency action plan
- Keep accurate medical records and update management on player availability
- Assist with warm-ups, cool-downs and conditioning, and educate players on injury prevention and recovery
About You
- A degree in Physiotherapy, Osteopathy, Sports Rehabilitation or Sports Therapy
- Previous experience working in a sporting environment, ideally leading a department
- Competent and confident working independently
- Able to commit to the club’s training and match schedule
