Key Accountabilities:

  • To demonstrate an understanding of the buying process to support timely ordering and delivery in line with operational requirements.
  • Administrate and manage Jig area demand and workflow, including ordering parts from external suppliers and defining engineering job routings with accurate operational timings aligned to drawing revision.
  • Monitor and maintain the future load of the Jig area, ensuring data accuracy and supporting make vs buy decisions where required.
  • Own group administration of the works order process from creation to closure, managing BOM content, shortages, event requirements and component tracking attributes.
  • Own the works order process (new/rework), managing challenging delivery schedules, operation achievement and event availability.
  • Work closely with stores, engineering coordinators, production controllers, manufacturing and purchasing to ensure parts are supplied and kitted to job requirements.
  • Liaise with Manufacturing Groups and Production Controllers when capacity is reached to advise on project rescheduling, avoiding delays to implementation and acceptance through the Jig area.
  • Work closely with Jig area leaders and Production Controllers throughout the shift to assess delivery status, escalate where required, and follow the agreed escalation plan.
  • Attend Technical/PCG meetings and provide progress feedback using implemented metrics, specifically relating to workflow and future loading.
  • Maintain data integrity and accuracy within parts control systems and group warehouse locations at all times.
