We are looking for a Composite Assembly Technician to join the team. To undertake all duties related to the composite assembly manufacturing cycle including surface preparation, trimming, fitting, bonded assembly, and surface finish ensuring operations are carried out to specification, quality requirements and timing plan as part of an effective team.

Key Responsibilities of the Composite Assembly Technician role:

  • Adherence to workplace environment, organisation, ISO certification and personal protective equipment (PPE) standards relevant to each manufacturing task.
  • Accurate & timely input into Manufacturing Execution System (MES) & Production Management tools accounting for all productive time.
  • Preparation & Assembly of Jigs & Fixtures required to perform relevant function/task.
  • Prepare bonding surfaces in line with Best Practice (BP) Specification.
  • Prepare & apply technical adhesives in line Standard Production Specification (SPS)
  • Carry out Composite Assembly tasks in line with technical instruction method & signoff approval process.
  • Carry out Thermal analysis tests & report on bonding samples as required.
  • Carry out Romer measurement & Laser Tracker scans as required to define or confirm critical feature positions.
  • Accurate & timely input entry into the Manufacturing History Record (MHR) documentation to which each part is accompanied by.
