The Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) is on a bold journey towards Brisbane 2032 and beyond. Following the extraordinary success of Queensland athletes at the recent Olympic and Paralympic Games, we are now focused on delivering even more medal-winning moments through to Los Angeles 2028 and our home Games in 2032.

On 1 July 2025, the QAS transitioned to a Statutory Body, guided by our values and focused on developing fit-for-purpose governance and corporate arrangements that support our vision of Inspiring Extraordinary Sporting Success.

Our ambitious high-performance strategy for the 2032 Games is to create more medal-winning moments for Queensland athletes that inspire their state and nation. While our strategy guides our performance, our culture truly delivers it. Given our vision, our culture is vitally important to us.

The Project Lead - Digital Experience will lead the redevelopment and relaunch of the QAS' website, elevating the user experience to deliver a modern and dynamic website that ensures the QAS remains at the forefront of technology and reflects our vision of Inspiring Extraordinary Sporting Success.

With a strong grasp of UX, content strategy and technical delivery, you will work closely with the elected development agency and internal stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered on time and on budget and delivers results that position the QAS as an industry leader.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the delivery of the QAS' website redevelopment project, including project planning, timeline management and reporting, to ensure it is delivered on time, on budget, and to scope.
  • Design the website sitemap, applying advanced user experience design, technical and accessibility standards knowledge to enhance engagement.
  • Work closely with external agencies, including web development and design, to ensure quality and accountability across deliverables.
  • Uphold high standards of delivery and compliance, ensuring the website meets stakeholder expectations and governance frameworks.
  • Contribute to the production of website content and coordinate content development with internal stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, consistency and alignment with identified target audiences.
  • Apply brand and creative knowledge to ensure adherence to the QAS brand guidelines and overall vision.
  • Contribute to other digital user experience projects, for example apps, as required.

The Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our athletes.
We are committed to an environment where athletes from any background are heard, treated fairly and free from abuse.
