PREM Rugby – officially known as Gallagher PREM Rugby, or the "Gallagher PREM" for sponsorship reasons and formerly known as Premiership Rugby – is an English professional rugby union competition, consisting of 10 clubs, and is the top division of the English rugby union system.
PREM Rugby is the organising body for the top tier of professional club rugby in England.
PREM Rugby is responsible for the Gallagher PREM, the PREM Rugby Cup and the Next Gen Cup, and has a shareholding in EPCR, which operates the Investec Champions Cup and EPCR Challenge Cup, in which Gallagher PREM clubs compete.
Built on more than 150 years of rivalry, the Gallagher PREM is the biggest sports league in the UK outside of football, with six different winners in seven years and a production line of some of the best players in the world.
Since 2022, PREM Rugby has strengthened its governance and financial controls, secured long-term partnerships with the RFU, TNT Sports and ITV, and moved the league from a period of stabilisation into one of growth.
PREM Rugby’s ambition is to become The Best League in the World, underpinned by a formal plan to expand the league to 12 clubs by 2029/30 and continued investment in fan experience, player profile and commercial quality.
We are an equal opportunities employer committed to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. We actively welcome applications from across diverse communities and value different perspectives and lived experiences.
