NLD RFU, the RFU Constituent Body for Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire, is recruiting a Women & Girls Lead to join its Management Committee and drive the growth of the women's and girls' game across the region.
The Role
You'll set the strategic direction for women's and girls' rugby within NLD RFU, growing the number of women and girls playing and volunteering by creating and delivering a Women and Girls action plan. You'll work with the Head of Age Grade, Head of Representative Rugby, club representatives and the Women & Girls representative on the RFU Council. This is a voluntary role appointed for a three-year term.
Key Responsibilities
- Raise the profile of women's and girls' rugby across NLD
- Lead the creation and delivery of the Women and Girls action plan with fellow committee members
- Arrange and chair strategy and planning groups
- Represent the women's and girls' game at NLD Management Committee meetings
- Identify and support new playing opportunities that help grow the game
- Encourage women and girls into coaching, refereeing, administration and other volunteer roles, and build a network of female role models and leaders
About You
- Experience of leading a team and making a positive impact
- A passion for, and understanding of, growing women's and girls' participation in sport
- An understanding of NLD, its member clubs and how the Constituent Body works
- Experience of building strategic relationships, including with schools, colleges and universities
- Strong influencing, communication and presentation skills, with integrity and sound judgement
