New Zealand Rugby (NZR) is the governing body of rugby union in New Zealand.
New Zealand Rugby Union seeks applicants to be available to help prepare the 2027 NZU20 Team to attend The Rugby Championship U20s in South Africa (TBC) in April and May and the U20 Junior World Championship in Georgia (TBC) in June and July.

The following position is seeking an expression of interest:
Strength and Conditioning Coach (S&C Coach)
The S&C Coach is required to support and contribute to the testing, monitoring, selection, and development of the team. Accountable to the Head Coach, the S&C Coach’s primary responsibility will be to ensure players are in peak physical shape for the campaigns above. The role requires the successful applicant to be available for international travel and some work (approximately 10 days) outside of the above campaign dates. This will include co-ordinating regional testing (November 2026) and helping deliver the NZU20 Development week in Taupō in March.
Candidates must have been working in a role with a professional rugby team/programme in New Zealand in the past 12 months.
For the role, beyond discipline-specific expertise and experience, candidates should have good knowledge and understanding of the game as well as outstanding organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. A strong empathy for the values which underpin New Zealand Rugby will need to be demonstrated, as will high levels of integrity, passion, and competitive drive. Please note that this role is part time and remuneration will be based around assembly with the team.
