Middlesex Tennis is looking for a Safeguarding Trustee to join its Board.
The Role
Middlesex Tennis is the official county association and registered charity responsible for administering, promoting and developing tennis and padel across north, west and parts of east London. It affiliates to the LTA and supports its vision of “Tennis Opened Up”.
The Board is made up of up to 12 voluntary Trustees, each with a specific role, who collectively take legal, financial and strategic responsibility for the charity. Trustees serve a minimum of two years, with a nine-year term limit.
Key Responsibilities
- Help the LTA Safeguarding Team promote and embed a culture of safeguarding across all Middlesex tennis and padel venues and activities
- Engage with venues and their Welfare Officers and encourage the 5 LTA Minimum Safeguarding Standards
- Help venues escalate concerns to the LTA Safeguarding Team when needed
- Support the Middlesex team to make sure county activities have appropriate safeguarding
- Lead the Middlesex Tennis Safeguarding and Disciplinary Advisory Group
- Provide a quarterly report for Board meetings and host quarterly webinars for Venue Welfare Officers
