Tyre Performance Engineering brings together vehicle dynamics, simulation, race support and data analysis. From investigating tyre behaviour across race weekends to improving correlation and developing new analytical tools, these engineers play a key role in maximising on-track performance.

We're looking to connect with talented engineers for future Tyre Performance and Senior Tyre Performance Engineering opportunities. Whether you're already working trackside or applying advanced analytical techniques in another high-performance environment, we'd be interested in hearing from you.

What Future Opportunities May Involve

By registering your interest, you may be considered for roles with responsibilities such as:

  • Analysing tyre performance from track, simulation and race event data to identify opportunities for improved vehicle performance and lap time.
  • Supporting race weekends through tyre analysis, setup recommendations and collaboration with Race Engineering, Vehicle Performance and Operations teams.
  • Investigating correlation between simulation tools and on-track behaviour to improve confidence in performance predictions and decision-making.
  • Developing and enhancing analysis methodologies, tools and models to improve tyre understanding and engineering capability.
  • Identifying and delivering innovative tyre performance concepts that help maximise tyre utilisation and create competitive advantage.
  • At senior levels, leading technical investigations, setting development direction and mentoring engineers across tyre performance projects

What We Typically Look For

Successful candidates for these roles often bring:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related discipline
  • Experience in tyre performance engineering, tyre development, vehicle performance or a related motorsport engineering function
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and identify meaningful performance opportunities
  • A solid grounding in engineering fundamentals, mechanics and numerical methods
  • Experience working in Formula 1, elite motorsport or another high-performance engineering environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical departments
  • A proactive, curious and innovative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
  • The ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments where attention to detail matters

They may also have experience or interest in areas such as:

  • Tyre modelling and simulation
  • Vehicle dynamics and lap time optimisation
  • Data analysis and performance engineering
  • Race strategy and race support
  • Correlation and model validation
  • Mathematical modelling and optimisation techniques
  • Control systems and numerical methods
  • Python, MATLAB, C++ or other object-oriented programming languages
  • Simulation tool development and automation
  • Non-linear programming and optimal control

Across all seniorities, we value individuals who are collaborative, inquisitive and performance-focused. People who enjoy turning data into insight, challenging assumptions and finding innovative ways to improve vehicle performance.

Why Join the Talent Pool?

Registering your interest means:

  • You'll be among the first to hear about upcoming Tyre Performance Engineering opportunities
  • Our Talent Acquisition team can match your profile to future roles at the right level
  • You'll stay connected with an engineering function that directly influences race performance and strategic decision making
  • You may be considered for opportunities across a range of tyre, vehicle performance and simulation-focused disciplines
  • You'll become part of a network focused on pushing the limits of performance in one of the most competitive engineering environments in the world
