A vacancy has arisen for a Material Coordinator to support both the Full Size and Aero Machine Shop within the Metallic Machining department.

Reporting to the Production Support Team Leader, you will be responsible for the efficient management and control of raw materials required for machining activities. This includes ordering, stock control, issuing materials to machining areas, managing waste swarf, and liaising and maintaining effective communication with suppliers, and waste contractors.

Key Accountabilities (Duties):

  • Ordering, receipting and maintaining raw material stock levels in line with machining and production requirements.
  • Ensuring accurate stock control and traceability within the SAP ERP system, including goods receipt, stock movement and issue to production orders.
  • Issuing materials for machining activities in order of priority and deadline.
  • Managing safe collection, segregation and disposal of swarf in line with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Operating forklifts and other handling equipment to move and store materials safely.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, waste collectors and internal stakeholders.
  • Keeping the raw material areas organised and compliant with all Health, Safety & Environmental standards.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to improve stock control and material issue.

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience in a manufacturing, machining or materials coordination environment.
  • Understanding of metallic materials such as aluminium, titanium and steel.
  • Computer literate and working knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP).
  • Experience using a forklift and handling heavy payloads is advantageous/desirable.
  • Experience managing swarf recycling or waste processes.
  • Ability to interpret basic engineering drawings.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Proactive and efficient in supporting the fast paced and high precision demands of Formula 1 manufacturing.
  • Process driven, with a strong focus on quality, efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Able to meet deadlines effectively under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Hands-on and safety-conscious.
