This role operates on our core hours from Monday to Friday, with participation in a planned weekend overtime rota to support key car build activities during peak build periods.
Key Responsibilities
As a CMM Inspector, you will:
Carry out dimensional, mechanical and visual inspections, ensuring components meet engineering drawing and specification requirements.
Program and operate CMMs using PC-DMIS, both online and offline.
Support all aspects of Metrology, utilising a range of inspection equipment and measurement techniques.
Produce accurate and detailed non-conformance reports where required.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
Apply a strong understanding of GD&T and inspection best practices.
About You
Essential:
A strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience using a variety of mechanical inspection equipment and hand measurement tools.
A solid understanding of quality systems and metrology principles.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Strong computer skills and confidence working with technical software.
Desirable:
Experience using Absolute Arm.
Familiarity with Klingelnberg gear measurement techniques.
Experience with SAP, although training can be provided.
