The Digital Content Producer is responsible for leading the creation of high-impact, platform-native video content across the Sea Eagles’ digital channels, with a primary focus on TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.

This role will own the Club’s short-form video storytelling strategy, capturing, producing and editing compelling vertical content that drives audience growth, deepens fan engagement and elevates the Sea Eagles brand.

In addition to social-first content, the role will deliver professional filming and editing across training, match days and club events, producing long-form content for website, broadcast and commercial use, while supporting broader media and PR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Social First Content Creation

  • Develop and execute a short form video content strategy across TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts as well as other digital platforms
  • Conceptualise, shoot and edit engaging vertical video content optimised for each platform
  • Identify and act on social media trends, sounds, memes and formats in real time
  • Capture training, behind the scenes, lifestyle and game day moments tailored to short form storytelling
  • Create reactive and real time content during matches both home and away
  • Work closely with players, coaches and internal teams to develop personality driven content
  • Repurpose long form footage into engaging short form edits
  • Monitor performance analytics to inform future content direction

Filming & Video Production

  • Film training sessions, match day coverage, press conferences and club events
  • Operate professional camera, audio and lighting equipment
  • Produce high quality edits for social, website, partners and commercial use
  • Maintain consistent visual storytelling aligned with Club brand guidelines

Creative Development & Content Planning

  • Collaborate with Membership, Commercial and Media teams to deliver campaign aligned content
  • Contribute ideas for content series, episodic formats and recurring social segments
  • Create sponsored content that feels authentic and native to each platform
  • Assist in content calendar planning and campaign execution

Digital Community & Growth

  • Help grow and nurture the Club's digital community through engaging storytelling
  • Create content that drives engagement, shareability and follower growth
  • Stay across emerging platform updates, algorithm changes and industry best practice

Administration & Compliance

  • Work cross functionally with internal stakeholders to plan and deliver content
  • Support media and PR requirements when required
  • Provide creative input and visual support for campaigns
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity
  • Constent demonstration of Club values

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience filming and editing digital content
  • Demonstrated experience creating content specifically for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts
  • Strong understanding of vertical video formats and mobile first storytelling
  • Flexible working hours and willingness to travel for home and away matches
  • Ability to identify compelling moments and capture content instinctively
  • Comfortable working independently on shoot and in fast paced environments
  • Strong understanding of social media trends and youth culture
  • Rugby League knowledge

Desirable

  • Own equipment preferred but not essential
  • Photography skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premier Pro. After Effects
