Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you’ll deliver evidence-informed nutrition support to optimise player health, performance and long-term development. The role has a strong focus on education, helping players, parents and staff build a clear understanding of effective fuelling and healthy behaviours at a key stage of development.

This is a great opportunity for a developing practitioner to apply their knowledge in an elite football environment while continuing to build experience and professional accreditation.

Your Impact

  • Design and deliver an educational curriculum for players, parents and staff focused on performance nutrition and healthy behaviours.
  • Provide targeted support to individual players, including those in injury rehabilitation.
  • Monitor and profile players to inform individualised nutrition plans.
  • Work closely with the Academy Head Chef and wider MDT to optimise the food environment.
  • Provide clear reporting and updates on player progress to key stakeholders.
  • Support the ongoing development and delivery of the Academy nutrition programme.

What we are looking for

  • Undergraduate and postgraduate degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Nutrition, Sport Science).
  • SENr accreditation (or working towards as a minimum).
  • ISAK Level 1 certification.
  • Strong understanding of nutrition principles for youth athletes.
  • Experience supporting or delivering nutrition programmes (academic, placement or professional).
  • Ability to translate data and theory into practical, actionable guidance.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly in educating young players and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Organised, proactive and committed to continuous development.
