The Role

The Recruitment Coaching and Development Manager will lead the day-to-day delivery of recruitment coaching across the Junior Academy, setting a clear standard for session quality, organisation and player experience. The role sits at the centre of the recruitment pathway, helping to make sure coaching delivery supports both talent identification and long-term player development.

You will manage and coordinate the local Recruitment Coaching team, plan and deliver recruitment sessions and events, and allocate appropriately qualified coaches across the programme. A key part of the role is supporting and mentoring coaches through observation, feedback and ongoing development, while also keeping coaching records, online systems and session logging accurate and up to date.

Working closely with the Academy Talent ID team, you will help ensure that coaches understand profiling requirements, reporting standards and selection criteria. You will also act as a clear and approachable link for parents within the recruitment phase, sharing information, gathering feedback and helping the team continually improve how the pathway is delivered.

What You’ll Bring

  • FA Advanced Youth Award and UEFA B Licence, with FA Talent Identification Level 2 or equivalent
  • Experience working within an academy or structured player development environment
  • Experience leading or coordinating coaching staff and supporting their development
  • Ability to deliver high-quality coaching sessions in line with a clear player development framework
  • Clear and effective communication skills, including confidence working with parents and young players
  • Strong organisation and administrative skills, with the ability to plan multiple recruitment activities and use online systems accurately
