London FA is looking for a full-time Football Facilities & Investment Officer to deliver investment into grassroots football facilities where it is needed most across London.
The Role
You will support the existing team to deliver London FA’s football facilities strategy, with a big focus on improving grass pitches across the capital through the Football Foundation Grass Pitch Improvement Programme.
Many clubs need support to access grants for small-scale projects, and you will help them navigate the funding opportunities available locally and nationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Support activity to make sure every affiliated fixture is played on a good-quality pitch
- Track the quantity and quality of pitches used for affiliated fixtures
- Align facility project outcomes with the Football Foundation framework and the FA’s Grassroots Football Strategy
- Activate grass pitch and smaller projects from Local Football Facility Plans
- Deliver post-award support and support days for Football Foundation applicants
- Support the Football Foundation’s Playzone programme with local authorities and community partners
- Help applicants develop football development plans and keep 3G facilities active on the Pitch Register
