Liverpool FC is looking for an Academy Physiotherapist to join its team on a casual basis.
The Role
You will provide high-quality, player-centred physiotherapy on an ad hoc basis to players in the boys’ Academy pathway, working with the Academy Medical & Performance team and coaching staff on injury prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation.
Care will be tailored to each player’s age, stage of growth and individual needs, with safeguarding, welfare and long-term health central to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide cover and support for the Academy Medical Team at training sessions and matches
- Provide pitch-side emergency aid at the Academy and at locations across the UK
- Treat and rehabilitate players in the Academy squads
- Design and deliver individual injury prevention programmes
- Liaise with coaching staff on players’ injury status and availability
- Keep medical records to the standard required by The FA and professional bodies
- Attend FA CPD events and further training as required
About You
- A Chartered Physiotherapist registered with the HCPC
- Full CSP membership including medical indemnity
- An up-to-date advanced emergency aid qualification (at least Level 4 ITMMiF)
- FA Safeguarding Children and UKAD Clean Sport Advisor
- Desirable: an understanding of the Academy talent pathway and experience with elite club or national-level players
