Leicester Tigers is looking for Casual Matchday Stewards to make sure every visitor to Mattioli Woods Welford Road has a safe and enjoyable matchday.
The Role
Leicester Tigers is England’s most supported and most successful rugby club, representing its community in elite men’s, women’s and wheelchair rugby since 1880.
Reporting to the Deputy Safety Officer, you will help manage the circulation of spectators, prevent overcrowding, reduce the risk of disorder and take early action in an emergency.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote the health, safety and welfare of spectators, staff and colleagues
- Carry out safety checks and staff entrances, exits and other key points
- Direct spectators for an even flow to and from viewing areas
- Monitor crowd conditions and support safe dispersal
- Understand key counter-terrorism prevention points and assist the emergency services
- Provide basic emergency first aid and respond to emergencies such as the early stages of a fire
About You

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Available to work evenings and weekends, including home fixtures
- Eligible to work in the UK (bring your passport or birth certificate to interview)
