Invictus UK 2027 is the charity and delivery organisation for Invictus Games Birmingham 2027, taking place in July 2027 at the NEC and Sandwell Aquatics Centre. We are looking for a Technical Officials Coordinator to join our Sport team. The post reports to the Sport Director.
The Role
You will lead the planning and management of our Technical Officials for the Games, working closely with National Governing Bodies and other key partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and store all documentation to a high standard
- Support the Sport team with the recruitment of our Technical Officials
- Assist the wider Sport team with the planning and preparation of the Games
- Procure and manage sport equipment needs, working within budget limitations
- Manage volunteers so that our officials are looked after and kept informed
- Build collaborative relationships with partners and suppliers, including sponsors, National Governing Bodies and contractors
- Contribute to the event risk register, identifying, managing and escalating risks in line with the risk management policy
- Contribute to the timely production and management of key event documentation and planning
About You
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within varied sporting event environments
- A proven track record of leading a team
- Experience of identifying, managing and mitigating risks
- Budget management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels
- Working knowledge of Teams, Excel and Word
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment, with strong problem-solving skills
- Desirable: experience as a Technical Official, or of managing groups of officials
