Nature and scope:
To work as part of the Non-match day C&E sales team:
- driving sales opportunities and through the effective management of sales and conversion processes
- delivering both excellent customer service
- achieving all sales targets for new and repeat business.
Accountabilities:
- To professionally handle all C&E enquiries within agreed TEL standards, rate guidelines and SLAs.
- To develop creative and accurate proposals, that reflect our client’s needs and event objectives.
- To professionally follow up all enquiries and proposals within agreed and appropriate timescales focusing on increasing conversion and yield from all enquiries.
- To arrange and conduct client site inspections and deliver solution-based show rounds that can be directly linked to the client’s objectives and desired event outcomes
- To proactively generate leads from enquiries and flag up potential new clients to the Business Development team.
- To effectively update all client information on the C&E sales/event management system (Ivvy) and keep client details and correspondence up to date, including GDPR compliance
- To maintain and develop excellent product knowledge for both Twickenham Stadium and competitors.
- To produce all sales correspondence in an accurate, professional and timely fashion
- To ensure deposit payments are paid and received as per contract terms and conditions.
- To liaise closely with the coordination & operations departments to complete thorough and accurate handovers thereby ensuring the client’s needs are understood and met.
- To carry out post event debriefs with clients and/or follow-up on customer feedback surveys in conjunction with the coordination team.
- To attend internal team sales and all other relevant meetings as required.
- To make recommendations on how to develop and improve standards across the business.
- Actively collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development and delivery of the current strategic, business and operational plans.
- Act as an ambassador for, and promote the best interests of the RFU, including the promotion of our culture and core values – This Rose Means Everyone: Put The Team First, Shape The Future, Respect Each Other.
- Undertake other duties as may be required from time to time as are consistent with the responsibilities of the post and the needs of the organisation.

Qualifications, skills & experience:
Essential:
- Will actively demonstrate the values of the Twickenham Experience and the Rugby Football Union.
- Will have excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
- A real “people” person, with rounded communication and planning skills, with a capacity to grow and develop into new areas of expertise as required
- Must be “customer oriented” with the desire and ability to hone in on each custom’s expectations and match these with the event spaces and services offered at Allianz Stadium
- Be a confident and creative presenter and negotiator.
- Ability to establish & maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Self-motivated with the ability to maintain focus in the achievement of sales targets.
- Must demonstrate a thorough approach to workload management, organising time and correspondence effectively.
- Be competent in Microsoft Office and Event Management systems
