PURPOSE

This role will be fully responsible for the management & delivery of all ECB Women’s & Girls’ competitions, including Women’s County Tier 3, Girl’s County, Club & Schools indoor competitions, while playing a key support role in the Women’s County Tier 1 and Tier 2 competitions, Women’s T20 County Cup and County Academy programme.

YOU’LL LOVE THIS JOB IF

YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Lead on the co-ordination and successful implementation of the Women’s County Tier 3 competitions playing calendar and competition management including Finals management.
  • Play a lead role on the successful implementation of the Women’s T20 County Cup competition.
  • Lead on the co-ordination and successful implementation of the Girls U13 & U15 Schools Indoor competitions playing calendar and competition management including Finals management.
  • Directly manage the numerous competitions including managing any disputes that arise.
  • Facilitate and co-ordinate entries through positive relationships with Clubs & Counties creating an appropriate fixture schedule for each specific competition.
  • Source venues for all Women’s & Girl’s Semi-Finals and Finals & negotiate costs accordingly.
  • Match Manage all Women’s & Girl’s Finals with direct responsibility for the co-ordination and management of all aspects on & off the field.
  • Support the co-ordination of an aligned playing calendar for all levels of the Women’s & Girl’s Pathway Competitions and the Academy structure.
  • Act as the main point of contact for the organisation of the Academy Festivals, including cost negotiation, and to act as the Operations Manager for all on and off field activity for these events.
  • Support the management of hotel requirements, bookings & negotiation of rates for all Finals.
  • Review and amend relevant Competition Regulations and Playing Conditions in conjunction with the ECB Cricket Operations Manager.
  • Manage the Women’s & Girl’s components of the Cricket Operations Departmental budget.
  • Direct liaison with the Officiating Department to ensure all competitions form part of the umpire and scorers’ pathway by appointing the “right official” to the “right fixture” and providing feedback on umpire performance.
  • Develop relationships with external stakeholders and relevant organisations.
  • Attend multiple cricket venues throughout the season.

Please note that this role is office based and requires you to be in the office a minimum of three days per week.
