Ealing Trailfinders Rugby Club is an English professional rugby union club based in West London and competes in the RFU Championship.
THE ROLE
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work within the Trailfinders Academy and Ealing Trailfinders Elite Pathway in all areas and aspects of the programme.• Ensure the delivery of excellent first-class coaching throughout the Academy to develop players ready for first team rugby
• Support the implementation of the appropriate educational/training program for each developing player that suits their individual needs, abilities and aspirations including IDPs for all players at least twice a year.
• Ensure a strong, mutually beneficial working relationship with Brunel University, partner colleges, schools and clubs.
• Ensure the highest standards are being met at our partner schools and clubs with regular visits and CPD workshops.
• Actively participate in networking opportunities, events, open days and other recruitment, scouting and publicity activities as necessary.
• Attend all Academy and ETEP games where required.
• Continue to develop as a coach with regular CPD
• Set a positive example as a coach.
• To contribute positively to the team environment and culture
• Be a strong consistent example of all the club’s values and vision
• Any other reasonable request
THE PERSON
Experience
Essential
• Experience coaching forward and the set-piece.
• Recent and relevant experience of coaching Academy players.
Desirable
• Experience in working at all levels of the professional game.
• Experience of developing players who have gone on to play elite rugby.
Qualifications
Essential
• Level 3 Coaching Certificate.
Skillset
Essential
● Knowledge and understanding of player pathways.
● Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain and present information clearly.
