Charlton Athletic Women are seeking an innovative and results-driven Marketing Manager to lead the planning and execution of marketing initiatives that grow attendances, deepen fan engagement, and support commercial success.
This is a hands-on role suited to a creative marketer who combines strategic thinking with operational delivery and is excited by the opportunity to help shape the future of a progressive women’s football team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop and deliver an integrated marketing strategy aligned with club objectives.
· Drive matchday attendance through targeted campaigns, promotions, and partnerships.
· Lead on briefing and coordination of visual assets for all marketing campaigns.
· Lead supporter acquisition and retention initiatives to grow the fanbase, with a key focus on growing a contactable database.
· Plan and execute seasonal marketing campaigns, including ticket launches and key fixtures.
· Collaborate with the communications and content teams to ensure consistent messaging and generate player-led content to support marketing campaigns.
· Support commercial partners through impactful activation campaigns.
· Use data and insight to evaluate campaign performance and optimise future activity.
· Oversee brand presentation across all touchpoints, ensuring high standards and consistency.
· Identify opportunities to enhance the matchday experience and supporter journey.
· Manage external agencies and suppliers where required.
· Contribute to retail and merchandise campaigns in collaboration with the club’s commercial teams.
Essential:
· Proven experience in a marketing role, ideally within sport, entertainment, or live events.
· Demonstrable success delivering campaigns that drive engagement or revenue.
· Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and audience development.
· Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
· Flexibility to work matchdays and key events.
· Budget management experience.
· Experience with CRM systems and fan data.
Desirable:
· Experience marketing a sports team or membership-based product.
· Knowledge of women’s football landscape.
· Understanding of partnership marketing.

MAIN JOB REQUIREMENTS AND PERSON SPECIFICATION
Education/Qualifications/Training:
· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration and/or Journalism
