CASES, the Chartered Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences, is looking for a part-time Finance Manager.
The Role
CASES is the professional body for sport and exercise sciences in the UK, granted its Royal Charter in 2024. You will lead financial planning and reporting while supporting strategic growth and member value, and manage day-to-day finance – making sure membership fees are recorded accurately, suppliers are paid on time and records are ready for monthly reporting.
The role offers significant responsibility and autonomy within a small operations team of seven, combining strategic, governance and technical work with transactional duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning and reporting
- Manage daily financial operations, including membership income and supplier payments
- Prepare financial records for monthly reporting
- Support strategic growth, governance and member value
About You
- A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA) or strong relevant experience (QBE) in a similar finance role
- Proactive, experienced and comfortable working independently across a broad remit
- Experience or knowledge of sport and exercise science is an advantage but not essential
Key Details
- Location: Home working, with some office attendance (currently one day a quarter) at Leeds Beckett University, Headingley, Leeds
- Contract: Permanent, part time (0.6 FTE, 22.5 hours per week, flexible)
- Salary: Grade 4 – £22,109 – £25,755 for 0.6 FTE (£36,849 – £42,926 FTE), dependent on experience
