Cardiff Met Sport is looking for a Head Physiotherapist to lead the development of its medical services provision and staff across its Performance Sport Programmes and the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS).
The Role
Working within the Performance Services team, you will also deliver physiotherapy support and play a key role in developing sports medical practitioners, making sure student-athletes receive the very best support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee physiotherapy and sports rehabilitation across performance programmes
- Manage the day-to-day planning and administration of physiotherapy services
- Provide expert advice to develop physiotherapy provision and practitioners
- Coordinate delivery with the multidisciplinary team, academic staff and student workforce
- Work with external bodies to align support for high-performing athletes
About You
- Significant experience as a physiotherapist in a sports environment
- A degree in Physiotherapy, CSP membership and HCPC registration, plus a pitch-side trauma qualification
- Substantial experience assessing and treating MSK conditions and sports injuries, including pitch-side
- Experience developing practitioner knowledge, processes and service provision
