Burnley FC in the Community, the award-winning official charity of Burnley Football Club, is looking for a Mental Wellbeing Worker to join its Schools Mental Wellbeing Project.
The Role
You will deliver targeted mental wellbeing support to young people in secondary schools across Burnley and Pendle, improving emotional wellbeing, resilience and mental health outcomes through high-quality one-to-one interventions, group work, psychoeducation and whole-school wellbeing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver one-to-one mental wellbeing interventions to young people in an assigned secondary school
- Run group work and psychoeducational sessions
- Contribute to whole-school mental wellbeing initiatives
- Work closely with school staff and partners to identify and support young people
- Monitor and record outcomes and the impact of support
About You
- Experience supporting young people’s mental health and wellbeing
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A good understanding of safeguarding
- Organised, reliable and able to work independently in a school setting
- A passion for using football to improve lives
Key Details
- Location: Assigned secondary school and Turf Moor, Harry Potts Way, Burnley, BB10 4BX
- Contract: Term time only, fixed term until 31 July 2027
- Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Salary: £23,000 – £26,000 per annum
