About the Role
The National Competitions Manager (12‑month fixed‑term contract covering maternity leave) will lead the delivery and development of the BUCS National Competitions Programme, ensuring our league and knockout structures remain fit for purpose and responsive to the needs of member institutions and their students. In this maternity‑cover role, you will manage day‑to‑day operations, drive innovation to enhance our competition offerings and work collaboratively to create inclusive and dynamic opportunities that inspire, develop and unite student‑athletes.
The successful candidate will engage with National Governing Bodies (NGBs), Sport Advisory Groups (SAGs), and BUCS members to develop respectful partnerships and foster collaboration. They will also oversee key operational processes, including competition management, member training resources, and the effective use of the BUCS Play system. our strategic thinking and attention to detail will ensure smooth continuity throughout the 12‑month contract while you introduce fresh ideas to strengthen our programmes.
