Our mission to embed sport and active wellbeing at the heart of student experience must be underpinned by the highest standards of transparency, accountability, and integrity. That’s why we are looking for an individual to take on the pivotal role of Head of Governance and Integrity.

This is a unique opportunity to lead on both corporate and charity governance while also shaping the standards of sports governance and integrity across BUCS. Reporting directly to the Director of Business Operations, you will serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team, Board, and Company Secretary, ensuring that BUCS operates with excellence, fairness, and accountability.

You will be strategically responsible for ensuring our governance frameworks remain robust and compliant, while also championing sports integrity by building education, systems, and relationships that protect fair play across all BUCS activity.

We are looking for an experienced governance and compliance professional, ideally with expertise in corporate/charity governance and sports governance. You will have the confidence to advise at senior levels, the leadership skills to manage projects and people, and the integrity to navigate complex compliance and ethical challenges.

This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on implementation – ensuring not only that BUCS meets its legal and regulatory obligations, but also that our members, staff, and partners can have complete trust in the way BUCS operates.
