The role of the Supporter Liaison Assistant
The Supporter Liaison Assistant will provide valuable support to the Fan Engagement & Supporter Liaison Officer as well as the wider Corporate Affairs team. A super-organised individual, this person will help to plan and deliver both matchday and non-matchday staffing and events and be a point of contact for all supporters attending the Gtech Community Stadium. This role will involve some evening and matchday work and the majority of the time will be spent at one of our sites.
Main Accountabilities
- Support the team to respond to fan-related enquiries in the Supporter Services and Accessibility inboxes.
- Be a reachable point of contact for supporters, resolving queries, managing issues and handling complaints.
- Support working groups and other fan group meetings to improve the dialogue between the club and fans and build positive relationships with these groups.
- Support the Fan and Community Relations team on matchdays to ensure we deliver a welcoming environment for all fans.
- Help with matchday activities such as fan parking, away coach travel and support for fans with additional support needs.
- Follow safeguarding protocols in the set up and ongoing management of the matchday operation, escalating any issues to line management and the Safeguarding team as appropriate.
- Ensure there is high quality, timely communication with colleagues from visiting teams for all supporter-related information.
- Provide administrative support to members of the Fan and Community Relations team as required.
- Support other Fan and Community Relations team projects and activities as required, including fan events and matchdays throughout the season.
General Club Accountabilities

Person Specification – Essential Personal Characteristics
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to thrive when working on multiple projects with specific deadlines.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft products, especially Excel and Word.
- Good communication skills, both written and oral with excellent attention to detail.
- Works well in a collaborative environment, contributing to a positive and supportive team dynamic.
- Clear, articulate, and engaging communication style, with the ability to engage with a diverse audience.
- A flexible approach to working hours, including the ability to work weekends and evenings.
Person Specification – Desirable Characteristics
- An interest in football, with experience of attending games.
- Previous experience planning and operating events.
- Knowledge of the local area.
