The Role of the Retail Executive - Operations
Main Accountabilities
Stockroom Operations
- Lead and deliver effective and efficient stockroom processes in line with the Club’s various policies including and health and safety policy.
- Management of deliveries while reporting discrepancies and ensuring all stock is processed, labelled and stored efficiently.
- Lead and manage any stock transfers between sites including warehouse and stores including coordinating with Club store colleagues to fulfil replenishment requests and ensure timely restocking of fast-moving items
- Implement effective stock rotation and refresh procedures including seasonal changes to ensure product availability and support sales.
- Lead and manage stock control processes including regular stock counts and full stocktakes, investigations and detailed reporting on the results
- Support and preparation of season transitions and promotional activities.
- Support the overall operational delivery of the Club’s retail business
- Any other duties that may be delegated by your line manager.
In-Store Experience
- Deliver excellent customer service in-store, engaging with fans and visitors to ensure they feel welcome and supported including management staff when required.
- Ensure that product displays are refreshed regularly and align with promotions, season trends and marketing campaigns.
- Support store operations on both matchdays and non-event days, including handling high customer volumes during peak times.
- Support team coordination, break cover and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
- Any other duties that may be delegated by your line manager.
General Club Accountabilities
- To ensure compliance with all relevant Club policies, including safeguarding, health and safety policies and with specific reference to the data regulations (GDPR and PECR)

Person Specification - Essential Characteristics
- Minimum 2 years previous experience in retail or stockroom experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills – written and verbal.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Numerate and high level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in stock recording.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic level on Microsoft platforms.
Person Specification – Desirable Characteristics
Driving Licence is a bonus but not essential.
Key Information
- Flexible with working hours, including weekends and matchdays. (Unfortunately, due to the nature of this role, we are unable to support flexible working requests)
- Some lifting and manual handling required as part of day-to-day duties.
